#2024-081109/North Precinct/First Watch:

At approximately 0946 hrs, a community member called 911, advising they located a spent shell casing in the roadway of N 143 ST and Stone Av N. When a unit arrived on scene, they located five 9mm FCCs in the roadway. No property damage or other evidence was located. The FCCs were collected and impounded into evidence.

#2024-081762/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2227hrs, numerous calls were received about shots being fired. Patrol responded and located 18 FCC – all 9mm rounds. Witness stated they observed the suspect vehicle firing at another vehicle. Both vehicles then sped off in opposite directions. No victims were located. A business at the intersection was struck by one of the fired rounds. Patrol processed the scene.

#2024-081700/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2105 hrs a resident called 911 to report hearing 10+ gunshots coming from outside of his residence, and reported seeing a vehicle speeding away. Additional civilians called in stating that they had heard the shots. Officers arrived in the area and located 26 spent shell casings, and several parked, unoccupied vehicles had sustained damage. The building at the location had also been struck by gunfire. It did not appear that any people had been struck. One of the damaged vehicles was a stolen vehicle that had been taken in a carjacking earlier in the day from an outside jurisdiction.
