#2024-104091/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1255 hours, 911 callers reported a male in crisis who was assaulting people and damaging vehicles. The Suspect also threatened to stab another subject. When Officers arrived, they found the suspect getting into an altercation with an unknown male. The suspect was actively digging in his backpack. Officers gave commands for him to get on the ground and he eventually complied. The Suspect was taken into custody without further incident and was booked into KCJ for Assault 2, Felony Harassment, and 2 counts of Malicious Mischief 2.
#2024-103751/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0638 hours, a known suspect punched the victim in the face with a closed fist in the 4700 block of 5 Ave Ne. The motive behind the assault was the perception of the victim’s sexual orientation, as identified by the suspect. The suspect fled the scene and was not located by officers. Chain of command notified.
#2024-104026/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1114 hours, officers responded to a disturbance at a supermarket in the Greenwood neighborhood. The suspect had caused felony level property damage and had threatened to shoot security officers. Officers arrived on scene and the suspect fled for several blocks before being taken into custody.
