Seattle Police are investigating two drive-by shootings that occurred in West Seattle Wednesday morning.
On May 15th at 12:38 a.m., officers responded to a shooting at Beach Drive Southwest and Southwest Andover Street, locating a 27-year-old male unharmed.
Officers determined the victim was being followed as he was driving home, and the suspects were brandishing guns at him. When attempting to evade them, his vehicle was shot at. The suspects fled the area and were not located. Police processed the scene and recovered multiple several shell casings.
At 12:40 a.m., officers responded to multiple 911 calls of shots fired near the 1100 block of Harbor Avenue Southwest.
Officers found a 42-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to his foot. They provided medical aid to him until the Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. He was in stable condition and got personal transportation to a hospital.
Police processed the scene and located multiple shell casings, determining the suspect vehicle was following and weaving in front of the victim’s car prior to shooting. When he confronted them, they opened fire. The suspects fled the area and were not located.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives are investigating both incidents.
