Seattle Police arrested a 56-year-old male robbery suspect armed with a cache of weapons, body armor, and ammunition last week.
On June 5th at 10:58 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of an assault and violent threat in the 400 block of Minor Avenue North.
Officers investigated and determined the suspect had repeatedly stolen from, assaulted, and threatened the 38-year-old male victim over a period of time.
The suspect was located on scene and arrested. He was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 4th Degree.
On June 6th, detectives with the Robbery Unit served a search warrant on the suspect’s residence and seized multiple firearms, ballistic body armor, and countless rounds of pistol, rifle, and shotgun ammunition. A Crisis Response Team officer assisted with scene security.
A criminal charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree was requested by detectives. Multiple identity documents and bank cards were also located and seized as evidence during the warrant service.
Additional charges may be added as robbery detectives complete their investigation.
