Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives investigate after multiple shots were fired late Monday night in North Seattle.
Shortly after 10:00 p.m., officers responded to North 101st Street and Aurora Avenue North to reports of shots fired. Police arrived, discovered property damage and shell casings.
Police investigation revealed that several suspects on foot were shooting at a dark colored SUV on North 101st Street west of Aurora Avenue North. The suspects then entered two vehicles and pursued the SUV south on Linden Avenue North while continuing to shoot.
Police recovered over 30 shell casings as well as bullet fragments from the scene. Multiple vehicles and homes were struck but there were no victims at the time of this writing. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
GVRU responded to the scene and will be leading the investigation.
