One Man Shot During Gunfight in Downtown Seattle, Firearm Recovered

Seattle Police detectives are investigating after a man was shot during a gunfight in downtown Seattle Monday morning.

On June 10th at about 2:00 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting and crowds fleeing a parking lot near 2nd Avenue South and South Main Street.

Officers located evidence of a shooting including bullet damage to a sports car. They recovered multiple shell casings from the scene. All involved parties in the gunfight fled the area.

Police determined that gunfire erupted in the parking lot followed by more shooting as vehicles fled to the east. A handgun left at the scene was seized as evidence.

While investigating, Harborview Medical Center reported that a 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound had been dropped off at the Emergency Room. The man was shot in the leg and in stable condition.

The circumstances leading up to this shooting are under investigation. No suspects were placed into custody.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives arrived and processed the crime scene. They will take lead on the investigation.
