Seattle Police arrested a juvenile male and recovered a firearm following a shooting in West Seattle on June 10th.
At 11:53 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of three juveniles shooting a gun in the 10100 block of 32nd Place Southwest near an occupied residence.
The scene was processed for evidence and police found spent shell casings near a small pond. No injuries were reported. Two of the three suspects were located after they fled the area on foot.
One of the juveniles was in possession of a semi-automatic handgun and placed under arrest. One of the young men was investigated and released. The third male was not located.
Officers booked the 16-year-old suspect into juvenile detention at the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will lead this investigation.
