Seattle Police arrested a man with a handgun and drum magazine following a DUI collision in West Seattle on June 7th.
At about 2:20 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to reports of a three-vehicle collision in the 7100 block of 28th Avenue Southwest. When they arrived, they located an impaired driver and placed him under arrest.
While investigating, Officers recovered a backpack with a handgun, a 50-round drum magazine, and over 60 rounds of ammunition. The firearm was constructed from a Polymer-80 kit and is an untraceable weapon.
Police completed a lawful blood draw pursuant to a warrant. The 20-year-old suspect was booked into King County Jail for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Driving Under the Influence.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigations Squad have been assigned to this case.
