#2024-171672/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0116, numerous people called 911 stating 2 people were shooting at each other. Patrol responded and located 41 shell casings. 1 uninvolved vehicle was located with damage sustained. No victims located. GVRU notified.
#2024-171779/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0510 hours, Officers on-viewed a subject who was trying door handles of businesses, walking in the roadway, and not wearing any shoes of socks. The subject appeared to be in crisis. Officers contacted the subject at 12 AV/Pine St on the sidewalk. The subject was non-verbal and exhibited signs of someone with autism. The subject was observed stemming and additionally responded with affirmative head nod after being asked if “he was autistic.” Officers determined an ITA was the best course of action to get the subject to the hospital especially with the subject possibly being a non-reported missing endangered person. The subject was then assisted to the gurney without incident and transported to Harborview via AMR. Seattle Fire A25 responded and medically cleared everyone on scene. The incident was screened with 251. At 0731 hours, a mother called 911 to report that her adult autistic son had walked out of the house and was missing. She was picked up by Officers and transported to Harborview where it was confirmed that her son was the one that Officers had sent to Harborview earlier.
#2024-171746/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0600 hours, GVRU and CVTF detectives, with the assistance of SWAT and CRG, served a search warrant at a residence outside the city belonging to a suspect wanted for a recent string of ambush-style shooting incidents. The suspect was safely taken into custody and a firearm was recovered from the residence. The suspect was booked into KCJ for various weapons and assault charges. The investigation into the incidents and suspect’s accomplices in the shootings is ongoing.
#2024-172476/West Precinct/Second Watch:
Suspect was in Komo Plaza for a period of time. Security was aware of him. Eventually he pulled out a gun and tried to fire it. It didn’t fire. He cleared the gun and proceeded to fire 1 round in the air. He walked off. Officers recovered a caliber shell casing. Officers conducted an area check. The suspect was not located.
#2024-172581/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2030 hours, officers responded to numerous 911 calls of gun shots being heard in the area of Stan Sayres Park, 3800 Block of Lake Washington Blvd. As officers were responding to this call a gunshot wound victim arrived by POV to Harborview medical center suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg area. Additionally, a second gunshot victim also arrived at Swedish Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg as well. Through initial investigation it was determined that both gunshot victims were at Stan Sayres Park when they were shot. Officers were able to locate crime scene along with numerous spent shell casings that were processed and recovered. GVRU detectives responded and assumed investigation.
#2024-172644/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2147 hours, officers responded to Harborview Medical Center in response to two males suffering from gunshot wounds being dropped off near the ER room. Officers arrived on scene and upon contact with both individuals were met with refusal to cooperate on any information on where or how this incident occurred. GVRU detectives responded and assumed investigation.
#2024-172740/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2355 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a single shot heard inside an apartment building, and a male subject observed with a handgun. Officers arrived and contacted on site security who heard a single shot and observed the male on the 3rd floor holding a handgun. It is unknown if the subject is a resident of the building, or if he went inside a unit before he was observed outside the back entrance by security on camera. Officers formed a contact team and cleared the floors but did not locate any casings, bullet damage or the suspect. Officers performed and area check with negative results. No victims were located.
