Detectives are investigating a shooting in a Columbia City Neighborhood.
Tuesday shortly before 8:30 p.m., 911 received a report of a shooting at South Snoqualmie Street and Martin Luther King Jr Way South.
Police arrived and found a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived and the male was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
The victim drove southbound on Martin Luther King Jr Way South and turned westbound on South Snoqualmie Street. Two suspects fired from a gray Honda and struck the victim’s vehicle. The suspects left the scene in the vehicle shortly after the shooting.
An additional vehicle was hit by gunfire causing damage, no other victims were located.
Seattle Gun Violence Unit Detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. No suspects have been identified.
