#2024-175614/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1616 hours, a PEO conducting parking enforcement near the intersection of 13th Avenue and East Pine Street attempted to write a parking infraction for the suspect vehicle. While doing so, the suspect vehicle first struck the PEO’s vehicle while backing up to leave. The suspect vehicle struck the PEO causing minor injuries. The suspect fled the vehicle running eastbound on East Pine Street. An area check led to negative results. The PEO was seen by SFD. PEO supervisor responded to the scene.
#2024-175606/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1612 hours, CARE (911 Dispatch) received a call of a robbery. The victims were selling a car through social media and met up with a potential buyer. After the owners gave the buyers the paperwork, the suspect pointed a handgun at the victims and took the vehicle without making the payment. There was a language barrier slowing down information gathering during the incident. Eventually, Police spotted the stolen car driving on Aurora and a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle stopped and the driver was taken into custody. A firearm was recovered from the vehicle and Robbery Unit was notified. The suspect was booked into KCJ.
#2024-175899/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2233 hours, multiple callers reported hearing multiple gunshots around 15th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Holden Street. Call-takers could hear gunshots on the line with 911 callers. Officers located a victim who fled the scene and was unharmed but had multiple bullet-holes in his vehicle. Police located a shooting scene with spent shell casings. A parked and unoccupied vehicle was also struck. There were no injuries located. Evidence was collected and GVRU screened this incident. A small black SUV was said to have fled southbound from the scene immediately following the shooting, but no other information was available regarding that vehicle.
