Man Arrested for Firing off Handgun in South Seattle

Seattle Police arrested a man for firing off a gun multiple times in South Seattle last week.

On July 4th at 9:12 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a man walking and shooting a gun in the 4500 block of South Fletcher Street.

Police located and processed the scene and recovered multiple shell casings. No injuries were reported. No property damage was located. 

While investigating, officers located the 42-year-old man inside of a nearby residence and placed him under arrest for Aiming or Discharging a Firearm.

Police recovered the handgun and additional ammunition and seized them as evidence.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit have taken lead on this investigation.
