Man Shot in Mount Baker Neighborhood   

Police are investigating a shooting in a Mount Baker Neighborhood.

Monday shortly before 11:55 p.m., 911 dispatch (CARE) received reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of South Mount Baker Blvd. Officers arrived and found a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Police provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

Police secured the area and processed the scene for evidence. It is unclear where the shooting occurred.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives will be leading the investigation.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation and no suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
