#2024-220072/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0712 hours, Officers arrived at a gas station in the area of 35 Ave SW/SW Holden St to investigate a strong-arm robbery. Two suspects wearing dark clothing, entered the business. They walked directly behind the counter, pushed the attendant out of the way, and accessed the cash register. The suspects stole approximately $700 in cash before fleeing on foot. The suspects did not display, mention, or imply possession of any weapons. K9 responded, but the suspects were not located. At 0733 hours, another strong-arm robbery was reported at a business in the area of the 9000 block of Delridge Wy SW, involving suspects matching the same description. The suspects forced their way to the cash register in a similar manner, walking away with approximately $500 in cash. While Officers investigated this second robbery, a third robbery was broadcast. At 0746 hours, two suspects matching the description conducted a third robbery at a business in the area of Highland Park Wy SW/SW Kenyon St. They forced their way to the register and walked away with $100 in cash. The following are the incident numbers: 24-220072 / 24-220091 / 24-220103. These incidents were screened with Robbery and 251.

#2024-220405/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1235 hours, officers responded to a call for service in the 600 BLK of 20 Ave S for a collision involving a child. Officers arrived on scene and determined that while the child was leaving school with their grandmother, they attempted to cross 20 Ave S. The child broke free of their grandmother and ran into the southbound lanes colliding with a vehicle. The child suffered a possible broken toe and was treated on scene by SFD and transported to HMC by AMR. the driver of the vehicle was investigated for DUI but was determined to be safe to drive. Incident screened with TCIS.

#2024-219316/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1330 hours, Officers observed an occupied stolen vehicle parked in a business complex in Ballard. The suspect appeared to be passed out in the driver’s seat. Officers developed a tactical plan to contact and remove the suspect from the vehicle. As officers were attempting to control and extract the suspect from the vehicle, he was able to get the vehicle in reverse and dragged the officers a short distance before backing into a brick wall. A backing officer used his patrol car to trap the suspects’ vehicle against the building. The suspect briefly fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody. The suspect was transported to HMC and will be booked for PSV, Assault on an officer X2, and DUI. The officers were evaluated at NW hospital, and both have been discharged to home. 222 was on scene. FIT, Car22, and Media all were notified.

#2024-219518/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1640 hours, officers responded to the area of 26 Ave S and S Norman St to reports of multiple people shot. Officers arrived and located one GSW victim and provided medical aid until SFD arrived and transported them to HMC in serious but stable condition. Two other GSW victims showed up at HMC in private vehicles while officers were at the scene, one in serious and one in critical condition. The unknown suspects fled the area prior to officers’ arrival. A stolen white Kia Optima was located unoccupied near the shooting scene and towed to the VPR for processing. Its involvement in this incident remains under investigation. GVRU responded to the scene for processing and HMC for interviews. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.

#2024-219848/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2255 hours, patrol responded to a reported burglary in the 200 block of Harvard Avenue East. It was determined that there was PC for strong arm robbery (DV). No weapons were involved in the incident. Patrol discovered that the suspect was barricaded in his unit. 243 was on scene. The SWAT Lt (271) was notified and responded. HNT (3S) responded. CAR85 also responded. Patrol obtained a warrant for the suspect and evidence of the crime. It was determined that Patrol would serve the warrant. Patrol was able get the suspect to surrender without fully breaching the unit. Patrol completed the warrant service. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ without incident.
