#2024-217711/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0230 hours, officers responded to the area of Broadway and E Pike to a report of a shooting. Officers arrived and located two victims with grazing GSWs and provided medical aid until SFD arrived. One of these victims was transported to HMC for further treatment in stable condition. While officers were at the scene, a victim vehicle related to the shooting crashed into the east side of Swedish Medical near Broadway and E Columbia St. The driver of this vehicle had two GSWs and was treated and transferred to HMC in serious but stable condition. A fourth victim walked into a nearby hospital with a single GSW. He was triaged and transported to HMC for further treatment. Officers recovered several FCCs/bullet fragments from the scene at Broadway and E Pike St. The suspect(s) remain outstanding in this incident. GVRU responded to the scenes and hospitals to assist with the investigation.
#2024-217734/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0347 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers responded to the 1100 BLK of E Fir St to assist Federal Way locate a recently carjacked vehicle that was tracking to the area. The suspects were described as black males in their teens to early 20’s armed with a black handgun and AR style rifle. When Officers arrived, they located the occupied suspect vehicle parked in the alley between 11 AV and 12 AV, just north of E Fir St. The occupants had essentially placed themselves at a dead-end and subsequently fled on foot. West Precinct Officers quickly set up containment and KCSO resources were requested to assist in the search for the suspects. While on containment, and Officer observed one of the suspects who fled the vehicle emerge from between the buildings. A brief foot pursuit was initiated, and the suspect was subsequently taken into custody in large part due to the assistance of a bystander who grabbed on to the suspect and held him to the ground. KCSO K9 Handlers arrived on scene and began a suspect search. Ultimately the 2nd suspect was not located. Federal Way responded to the scene and took custody of the suspect, as well as the vehicle. West Precinct Officers took paper on the vehicle recovery.
#2024-217833/East Precinct/First Watch:
At Officers responded to a call for service in the 1100 BLK of Madison St at Starbucks. The caller reported that the suspect was inside the store threatening people and yelling racial slurs. Officers responded to the scene and spoke with the manager of the store who stated that when he confronted the suspect and told him to leave the store, the suspect used homophobic slurs towards the manager and threatened to harm him. The manager believed he was targeted due to his sexual orientation. Officers conducted an area check which led to negative results.
#2024-213716/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1630 hours, ICAC Arrest Operation that started from an online undercover chat. The suspect thought he was speaking to a 13-year-old boy and flew up to Paine Field from Arizona. The suspect was arrested as he walked up to the Hotel where he had rented a room for him and the 13-year-old. The 73-year-old suspect was booked into Snohomish County Jail for Attempted Rape of a Child and Communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
#2024-218755/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2357 hours, a fifteen year old driving his parents’ vehicle, a 2006 Infiniti G35, claimed that he was robbed of that vehicle when 3 strangers got out of a dark 4-door sedan, punched him, and then left in both vehicles from the 6400 block of 35 Av Sw, where the 15-year-old claimed he was driving around while underage at midnight, looking for his girlfriend, who he said lived somewhere nearby. An area check for the suspects or vehicle was negative.
