#2024-223253/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0005 hours, Officers responded to Rainier Av S / 51 Av S for a victim stating that someone was trying to take his money, and they had a knife. The victim parked in the Safeway parking lot in the 9200 block of Rainier Av S and was going to walk to the hookah bar. Suspect approached the victim and pulled out a knife and demanded $100. Victim told the suspect he didn’t have any money, so the suspect started digging through the victim’s vehicle. The suspect again held a knife to the victim demanding money from the victim. Victim pulled out his phone and called 911. Suspect ran off. Incident screened with Robbery.

#2024-223269/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0024 hours, while on routine patrol, an officer heard gunfire nearby. As he responded to the shots, he was flagged down by witnesses who directed him to the scene. The investigation determined that there was a disturbance between two groups in a parking lot that escalated to gunfire. As the shooting in the parking lot was occurring, a group of three individuals on foot across the street began firing at the group engaged in the shooting in the parking lot. Multiple parked cars were struck as was an unoccupied building. Multiple shell casing recovered, and other evidence recovered. All items entered into evidence. 213 notified and incident screened with GVRU. Media 3 on scene.

#2024-223344/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0153 hours, A blue BMW with dark tinted windows and no license plates crossed the centerline and drove at an oncoming patrol car. The officer turned around to follow the BMW and observed it slowly drive through a red light. As officers initiated a traffic stop, the vehicle initially sped away before pulling over. The passenger held a cell phone out of the window to record approaching officers before the BMW sped off onto I-5. Officers did not pursue and updated radio. Several minutes later, the same BMW returned, drove past officers running red lights, performed a U-turn to face officers at an intersection. When the officer’s light turned green, the BMW ran its red light, driving directly at the officer’s patrol vehicle nearly striking it for a second time. A pursuit was authorized. Officers chased the BMW into the SW Precinct where they lost sight of the vehicle.

#2024-223472/East Precinct/Firs Watch:

At 0544 hours, East Precinct officers were dispatched to an armed robbery of a business involving two male suspects. Officers arrived on scene and set containment. Video showed one suspect w/ a handgun and extended magazine. Suspect info was established and distributed. K9 responded and attempting to establish a trail but was unsuccessful. No injuries reported. around $700.00 were taking from the register.

#2024-224062/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1830 hours, near the end of 2nd watch a vehicle was driving S/B down Aurora AV North at a high rate-of-speed. The vehicle left the lane of travel and crashed through the interior of a lumber warehouse and through a wall stacked with cans of paint. Officers had to enter the structure and escort the passenger, who was covered in paint, out of the building. The officers were briefly exposed to the noxious fumes w/in the building but did not appear to have any lasting effects from the exposure. SFD entered the building under SCBA and extracted the other occupant of the vehicle. The driver admitted to smoking crack cocaine before the incident. Both occupants were transported to HMC via AMR with what appeared to be minor injuries. The driver was processed for DUI. The hospital staff believed that the passenger possibly had a fractured skull, but the passenger was too combative for further testing. TCIS was notified for further follow-up.
