#2024-227745/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 1200 hours, an assault was reported which occurred on 8-10-24. A silver BMW nearly hit an occupied parked car in front of a church. The occupants who are missionaries exited their car and gestured to the suspect to be careful. The suspect circled the block, exited his vehicle, and punched one of the missionaries in the face while screaming disparaging remarks about their church and religion. The suspect then fled the area S/B in his vehicle. Both victims felt they were targeted due to their religion.

At 2237 hours, Officers heard shots while leaving a call in the Columbia City Neighborhood. Officers located 5 spent casings. No victims, suspects, or property damage were located. Patrol processed the scene.
