#2024-229709/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0144 hours, there were multiple callers reporting shots fired in the area 26 Ave S/S King St with people running away. Officers responded and located shell casings in the 500 block of 26 Ave S and the 2600 block of S King St. A victim flagged officers down at 23 Av S/S Main St stating someone had shot at him. He had an apparent abrasion, and a possible gunshot graze wound on his knee. Officers processed the scene and located eleven 9mm FCCs (shell casings), seven 10mm FCCs and ten .40 FCCs. There was bullet damage to nearby vehicles and a residence. GVRU notified.

#2024-229755/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0429 hours, SFD was called to the scene of a large fire in an unoccupied building which is frequented by squatters and people using narcotics. This building creates several calls for 911 response. At 0429 hrs., East Pct first watch was dispatched there to assist Fire with Traffic control. Almost all of East Pct. patrol resources were deployed to this scene to assist. This fire was considered a very large critical fire in a building with occupied apartments buildings on three sides of the burning building. SFD Fire Marshall was also on scene and advised that his investigation would occur long after the fire was distinguished and cleared for safety. Unified Command was not requested, 241 (LT Sather) responded to the scene, 1E and 1G were also on scene. PEO’s were requested once they came into service to assist with traffic control. Media was on scene and PIO was notified.

#2024-230672/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2128 hours, SW Patrol responded to numerous calls of shots heard in the High Point neighborhood. Initial calls indicated that a victim may have been on the ground not moving. Witnesses reported an unknown make vehicle fleeing the scene westbound in the alley and a separate subject running southbound on 29 Ave SW. An uninvolved victim drove to the Southwest Precinct and reported their vehicle had been struck by gunfire at 29 Ave SW and High Point Dr SW. There were no injuries to this caller. Officers located a single scene in the 6300 block 30 Ave SW where a total of 11 FCC’s were on the sidewalk. Two FN 5.7×28 and nine .40 FCC’s were recovered from this location. Officers conducted an extensive area check on foot for any victims, but did not locate at this time. GVRU was notified of the incident.

#2024-230697/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 2153 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1100 Block of N 125 St. The passenger of the vehicle was seen making furtive movements as Officers approached. The passenger was detained. A loaded firearm was located under the passenger seat. The passenger was identified and determined to have a felony fugitive warrant. Passenger arrested for UPFA and booked into KCJ.

#2024-230683/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2141 hours, officers on bike patrol near the intersection of 3 Av / Pine St were told about a robbery that had recently occurred in the area. The suspect was pointed out by a witness. Officers contacted the suspect and observed a pistol magazine protruding from a cross-body bag worn by the suspect. Officers attempted to detain the suspect in handcuffs. The suspect attempted to flee but was quickly taken to the ground by officers. The suspect began to struggle with officers while on the ground. Officers in the area observed the struggle and ran over to assist. Officers recovered a stolen pistol from the suspect. Officers also recovered approximately 2.4 grams of suspected fentanyl powder, packaged in 21 individual pieces of foil and other containers. Officers also recovered a large amount of cash in small bills.
