#2024-239381/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0300 hours, callers reported hearing several shots fired at 13 Av S/S Hill ST. A vehicle was seen leaving the area. Officers arrived in the area and located 79 9mm shell casings, 1 live round, 2 frags, and 1 slug. There were 5 vehicles and 1 house that sustained damage. A witness stated a male was walking southbound on 13th Av S towards S Hill St while firing an “automatic” weapon. The shooter got into the dark sedan that drove away in an unknown direction. Another witness stated the dark sedan drove by waiving “gang signs”. The vehicle drove approximately 300 feet when the vehicle stopped, and he heard automatic gun fire. It was unsure if he was being targeted or not. Patrol processed the scene. This incident was screened with GVRU.
#2024-239692/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0437 hours, the victims spoke mostly Spanish, and they suffered head injuries. A Spanish-speaking officer translated. The victims were pulling out of the Salty’s Lot located at the 1900 BLK of Harbor Ave SW and there was a vehicle collision. The suspects exited the vehicle and made threats to assault the victims. The suspects assaulted the victims, and they suffered head, arm, and waist injuries. The victims both possibly have concussions. The suspects were GOA upon officers’ arrival. Salty’s has cameras that possibly recorded the incident. Homicide was notified.
