#2024-242828/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0742 hours, ICAC Unit detectives assisted HSI with a search warrant and arrest operation related to the kidnapping and trafficking of children in Vietnam. The suspect was arrested, invoked, and remains in Federal custody. The investigation is ongoing with HSI.
#2024-242954/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0838 hours, patrol responded to a robbery at a business at Leary Wy NW and NW 46th St. A male suspect, dressed in black with a black bandana, stole a box of liquor from a delivery truck. When confronted, the suspect threatened the victim by displaying a handgun. The suspect fled, and despite a search, neither the suspect nor the stolen items were located.
#2024-243417/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1636 hours, A suspect recognized as a pattern robber entered the bank and presented a note, and displayed a small silver handgun. After obtaining cash the suspect left, retaining his note. Last seen on foot westbound from the bank, likely to a vehicle. Robbery Unit notified. Latent Print Unit responded to process scene.
#2024-243550/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1852 hours, Officers were dispatched to a call of a shooting. When Officers arrived, they located one victim who had been shot once in his back. Due to the large crowd in the area Officers rendered aid but also started moving the crowd away from the scene. Several witnesses stated the incident started out between the victim and an unrelated individual. An argument ensued between the two then the suspect approached and shot the victim once in the back and then fled the area. The victim was treated on scene by Officers and Fire before being transported to a local hospital. GVRU responded to the scene
