#2024-248114/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0037 hours, the victim was in their vehicle in line at the Aliberto’s drive-thru, waiting to order food. While in line, the suspect vehicle entered the drive-thru line behind the victim’s vehicle and honked their horn. The victim exited the vehicle to confront the suspect over their horn use. Once the victim exited their vehicle, the suspect pointed a firearm out of their window and fired a single shot, striking the victim in the leg. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. SFD responded to treat the GSW and the victim was transported to the hospital via AMR. A single shell casing was located and collected. GVRU and Media were notified. 223 responded.
#2024-247998/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2140 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers were dispatched to investigate a reported stabbing located in the 200 BLK of Yesler WY. When Officers arrived, they located a victim with stab wounds to his face and head. They were given a suspect description, but the suspect was not located. The victim was transported HMC with non-life-threatening injuries. Video evidence was found, collected, and submitted as evidence.
#2024-248026/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2217 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 400 BLK of Maynard AV S to investigate a shooting. When Officers arrived, they located a scene and victim. Officers rendered immediate lifesaving care to the victim until SFD arrived and assumed that role. The victim was transported to HMC with serious injuries. Officers were provided with a suspect description, and a short time later a male matching that description was located nearby observing the scene. That male was arrested and subsequently transported back to the West Precinct to be interviewed. He declined to make a statement. The witness also told Officers that he believes that the suspect threw his firearm into the nearby park area. An extensive search took place to locate the firearm, to include assistance from KCSO ABS trained dogs, however the firearm was not located. GVRU screened the incident and Patrol processed the scene. The suspect was booked into KCJ for investigation of Assault 1.
#2024-248220/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0415 hours, officers responded to N 137th St and Linden Ave N for a report of an injured male walking in the roadway without pants. The victim told officers he had been pistol-whipped, and he had his pants, cellphone, and chain taken. The victim was intoxicated, and he could not give officers a description, location, or time when this occurred.
#2024-248608/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1226 hours, an off-duty SPD was in the area of 2 AV/Union St and on-viewed a possible DV disturbance in a vehicle. The sworn employee observed a male suspect throw a female victim’s cell phone out the window onto the street. The SPD employee picked up the victim’s cell phone and called 911. The male suspect attempts to retrieve the female’s cell phone from the SPD employee. The SPD employee reported his status (off-duty police) to the male suspect, male suspect strikes the employee in the head and walks back to his car yelling “You are going to get yours!” No gun was displayed or seen. The suspect then fled the scene in his vehicle. The SPD employee was not seriously injured and declined medical attention. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicle in the area. 222 was notified.
#2024-248682/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1525 hours, while conducting a narcotics operation in the Pike St/Pine St Corridor, 3rd Watch West officers in conjunction with the 2D80’s made a narcotics arrest resulting in the seizure of $796 US Currency, 13 grams of meth, 50.8 grams of fentanyl, 20.1 grams crack cocaine, and 1.1 grams heroin. Other arrests during the operation included a DOC warrant arrest, the recovery of a stolen MID bicycle, and a LEAD referral.
#2024-248805/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1729 hours, three suspects arrived at a marijuana dispensary (W. Marginal Wy SW), pointed a firearm at an employee and the suspects told the victim if he did not have someone open the door to the dispensary they would kill him. The victim’s wife, who works inside, opened the door and allowed the suspects in to save her husband’s life. The suspects took bins of marijuana (approximate value of $15,000) and left in an unidentified vehicle. 252 and Robbery were notified.
