#2024-255116/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0924 hours, police responded to the report of two to three shots heard near the area of Cal Anderson Park. As officers were looking for a scene, a witness flagged them down and told them he heard two shots one block north of his location on 12th Avenue. During the investigation officers discovered received a description of the posable shooter. As they were processing the scene a male matching the description walked up to officers and was detained, a handgun was located during the pat down. The suspect was positively identified. The suspect was booked into King County Jail and GVRU was notified.
#2024-255307/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 1356 hours, On the given time and date, officers were dispatched to a disturbance in a parking garage. Security was fighting with a male suspect possibly car prowling. When officers arrived, suspect fled into a nearby bar filled with patrons watching a football game. When officers contacted the suspect inside the bar, a fight ensued, and the suspect was taken into custody. No officers were injured and 232 was notified.
#2024-255152/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 1130 hours, the suspect pulled over on the city street, got out of his vehicle and yelled something at the following vehicle. As the victim vehicle rolled past, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired at the victim. The suspect missed his intended target and instead struck a different vehicle passing by in another direction. Suspect fled the area. No injuries reported. Evidence collected and COC notified.
#2024-255496/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1700 hours, a female with a disability was working at a large venue when she was assaulted (punched in the neck) by another employee while mocking the victim’s disability. The victim ran away from the assaulter and reported it to off duty police and her employer. She was treated by SFD on scene for minor injury. 213 Lt. Farwell was notified of this incident.
#2024-255655/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2023 hours, multiple calls of shots fired were called in. Officers arrived on scene and did not locate any victims, property damage or evidence. Several hours later a call came in from a nearby Veterinary Clinic about a dog being shot. Officers spoke to the Dog’s owner. It was determined the dog was victim of a stray round from the earlier shooting. The dog wound was not life threatening.
#2024-25160/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 0200 hours, the victim reported that he had been assaulted at a bar in the East Precinct on 9-7-24 around 0100 hours. Security was kicking them out before closing and an argument began between the victim and security. The security guard made derogatory comments about the victim’s sexual orientation and then assaulted him. The victim then went to the hospital for a broken finger and attempted to report the incident to Auburn PD (where he resides), then TRU, and lastly to SW Patrol. No suspect information was available. 252 and the Bias Crime Coordinator were notified.
