#2024-256968/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0002 hours, officers responded to a report of an armed Robbery in the 9200 block of 35th Avenue Southwest. The victim advised that the suspect had fled southbound prior to SPD response. The clerk spoke no English, and the use of translation services was still difficult to gather information from the victim. An unknown amount of cash was taken from the store. Police processed the scene, conducted an extensive area check and Robbery Unit was notified.
#2024-256965/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0000 hours, officers responded to a report of someone stabbed in the area of 7312 West Green Lake Drive. Police located a male with two stab wounds. The victim was only able to provide a vague suspect description and direction of travel due to his injuries. Officers conducted an area check but did not locate the suspect. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
#2024-257056/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0402 hours, officers responded to a stabbing call in the 400 block of Broadway East. Upon arrival police contacted the victim. The victim observed the suspect near a fire and told him to put the fire out. The suspect becoming upset and called the victim names. The suspect then left the scene momentarily. The victim then started putting out the fire when he noticed the suspect had returned to the parking garage with a glass bottle. The suspect lunged towards the victim with the glass bottle causing a laceration. The suspect was located nearby and booked into KCJ for Investigation of Arson and Investigation of Assault. The victim was transported to Swedish First Hill. SFD responded and ABS was notified.
#2024-257556/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1500 hours, officers received reports of a man seen with a handgun outside of a school in the Ballard neighborhood. The school went into lockdown. Police responded to the scene and located an aluminum can that had been shot multiple times with a BB gun near the area where the subject had been. The subject appeared to have arrived on a scooter and had left the area prior to officer’s arrival. An area check was conducted, but the subject was not located. Police assisted the school staff with a controlled release from the campus since it was the end of the school day.
#2024-257689/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1624 hours, officers responded to the intersection of 24th Avenue and East Union Street for a reported shooting. Police arrived and located multiple shell casings in the middle of the road and secured the scene. Upon the completion of their investigation, it was determined that a red SUV slowly drove eastbound on East Union Street as if the occupants were looking for someone. At the above intersection the suspect in the passenger seat leaned out of the sunroof and fired multiple shots into a crowd of people. The suspect vehicle then fled eastbound on East Union Street. An area check for the suspect vehicle led to negative results. No one in the group was struck by the shooting. Evidence was recovered.
