#2024-266943/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1540 hours, Officers responded to a shots call near 15 AV E and E Harrison ST. Upon arrival, the victim informed officers he had observed a suspect breaking his car window out and grabbing his backpack out of the front seat. The victim then confronted the suspect which caused the suspect dropped the victim’s backpack. The victim recovered his backpack and then followed the suspect a short distance on foot. This is when the suspect confronted the victim by pulling out a handgun and firing one shot at the ground in the victim’s direction. The victim then ran away and the suspect then fled the scene on foot. The suspect was not located during an area check. One shell casing was located and collected as evidence. GVRU was notified.
#2024-267291/West Precinct/third Watch:
At 2153 hours, officers were dispatched to an armed carjacking. Two of the three suspects displayed handguns before fleeing the scene, in the victim’s vehicle. Through tracking, the vehicle was located abandoned in Tukwila. WSP and Tukwila PD assisted SPD K-9 with securing the scene. The vehicle was processed.
