#2024-271510/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0315 hours, the driver was driving eastbound on the West Seattle bridge near the 1 Ave S exit. The driver was driving fast and struck the concrete median twice causing a large amount of damage to his vehicle. Officers arrived and arrested the driver for DUI and NEG 1. The driver had passengers in the vehicle who had minor injuries.
#2024-271713/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 0845 officers were dispatched to report of a person shot in the leg from the night prior. The subject was at his residence in the 7600 Block 8 Av SW when calling. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the subject who stated he was in a park near the I-90 floating bridge with a friend and an acquaintance just after midnight. The acquaintance had a .45 caliber pistol, and the subject wanted to see it, the subject held the loaded pistol and pulled the hammer back resulting in him accidentally firing the pistol into his left leg. The subject stated he left the area to return home and placed a makeshift tourniquet on his leg to stop the bleeding. After falling asleep for several hours, the subject woke up stating he was in pain, resulting in calling 911. SFD arrived on scene to care for the injury. 251 notified.
#2024-272325/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1900 hours, the victim was doing a delivery near California Ave SW/SW Oregon St. The victim returned to his vehicle and saw a male in the driver’s seat, and a female in the back seat. The victim got inside his vehicle and attempted to grab the keys out of the ignition. The male suspect punched the victim a couple of times trying to steal his vehicle. The suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. SPD arrived and contacted a possible suspect at California Ave SW/SW Alaska St, but the victim said it was negative. The male suspect wasn’t located.
#2024-272307/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1837 hours, at dock, subject fell out of boat into the water when attempting to cross to another boat, has not resurfaced. East land units, Harbor resources and SFD dispatched to event. RP thought friend was possibly having a medical issue before falling in. SFD on scene and in water when Harbor arrived. RP provided location of last seen point in between the two moored vessels and advised that the water depth was 20 ft. SFD initial check of the subsurface was negative. Harbor deployed down line marker at last seen point. SFD swimmer located subject near the stern of the vessel and brought him to the surface. SFD initiated resuscitation efforts and transported subject to HMC. 272 notified of event.
#2024-272318/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1857 hours, Officers were dispatched to a report of an in progress DV assault in an apartment. Officers arrived and heard a disturbance inside the unit which they believed was physical. Officers forced entry and determined a misdemeanor assault occurred. Suspect was arrested and transported with guard to the hospital due to previous medical complications. Victim was invol’d due to being gravely disabled from a high level of meth intoxication.
