#2024-274656/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0242 hours, The victim was at the 7-11 located at the 9200 BLK of 35 Ave SW. The victim was inside his car and the suspect opened his passenger door and said that he was Jamaican. The suspect punched the victim in the face a couple of times and attempted to take his car. The suspect grabbed the victim’s groceries. The victim pushed the suspect out of his car. The suspect fled the area. The victim called SPD 20 minutes after the incident occurred.
#2024-274609/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0042 hours, vehicle travelling northbound on Elliott Av W collided with another vehicle. The suspect vehicle then went through the wall of nearby building. The suspect driver fled the scene. The victim driver and passengers were uninjured. The suspect vehicle was later extracted from the building. SFD assessed the damage to the building and determined that it was structurally sound.
#2024-275446/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1846 hours, Officers responded to a shooting in Nora Sector. Officers arrived to the scene and located a single shell casing. Interviews with witnesses determined that it was a self inflicted gunshot wound. Victim was transported to NW Hospital prior to SPD’s arrival, where he is in stable condition. Due to ongoing treatment, officers were not able to conduct an interview with the victim. Patrol processed the scene. GVRU was notified.
#2024-275169/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1335 hours, Officers conducted a directed patrol/surveillance near 12th Avenue S and King Street reference on-going narcotic activity. A subject was observed engaging in narcotic dealing near a seafood business. An arrest team took the subject into custody and 19.7 grams of methamphetamine were located in his possession along with $85. Subject booked into KCJ for investigation of VUCSA w/Intent to Deliver.
#2024-275657/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2315 hours, Officers responded to a DV Assault (Strangulation)/ Burglary at the 13000 block of Linden Ave N. Officers secured the scene and SFD treated the victim. Suspect fled prior to the arrival of Officers. PC for DV Assault 2/DV Burglary were developed. Suspect is known narcotics dealer and was armed with a handgun at the time of the incident. Suspect was not located and was likely enroute to the East Precinct. PC and suspect description distributed to police officers.
#2024-275305/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1604 hours, on the grounds of McClure Middle School, a 14-year-old male attempted to rob a 13-year-old male of a bicycle at knifepoint. The suspect’s first name was known to multiple witnesses. School staff allowed officers to view surveillance video but refused to disclose the suspect’s full identity. 2.5 hours later, the suspect’s mother called police and reported that school staff had called her about the incident. Officers responded to the suspect’s residence. The suspect’s family only spoke Brazilian Portuguese, and a Brazilian Portuguese-speaking officer responded to assist with the investigation. Officers arrested the suspect. The suspect was booked into the Children and Family Justice Center for Robbery in the First Degree. The Robbery Unit screened the incident.
