#2024-278622/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0013 hours, two suspects entered the 7-11 located at the 3200 BLK of SW Avalon Wy. One of the suspects jumped over the counter and the second suspect walked around. The suspects demanded money and threatened to kill the clerk. The suspect had his hand in his hoodie and the victim saw a bulge. The suspects took approximately $800.00 in currency and left Westbound on SW Avalon Wy. Officers quickly arrived and began an area search. The suspects weren’t located. Evidence was recovered from the scene. Robbery Unit was notified about the incident.
#2024-278696/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0350 hours, callers reported a white pickup truck ramming into the storefront of a Walgreens at 24th and Jackson. The vehicle and occupants had placed tow straps around an ATM. Arriving officers located the abandoned vehicle about 3 blocks South. A K9 track was completed with a KCSO K9, no suspects located at time of SIR. Vehicle is an SPD stolen and was printed/recovered on scene.
#2024-278963/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 1047 hours, West Precinct officers responded to a robbery at a bank. The suspect presented the teller with a note on his cellphone screen demanding money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled the area on foot. Officers set up containment and conducted an area check with K9, yielding negative results. Evidence was recovered from the scene. Robbery and 241 were notified.
#2024-279124/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1324 hours, East Precinct Officers were dispatched to a call for service in the 300 BLK of 19 Ave for a threats call. Officers arrived on scene and established probable cause for felony harassment with a knife involved. The suspect who lived next door to the victim refused to come out of his residence. HNT arrived on scene and established a dialogue with the suspect. SWAT was called to the scene and a search warrant was completed for the suspect. An NFDD was deployed, and the suspect began complying with orders. Suspect was taken into custody without further incident. 271, 242 on scene. Media notified.
#2024-279495/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2052 hours, the victim exited a restaurant in the 100 block of 4 AV N. when a suspect snatched his bag of food and ran. The victim gave chase before being confronted by a second suspect who brandished a firearm. Surveillance footage showed the suspects later returning the food to the victim. A second patron exited the same restaurant, and the suspects demanded their food. The victim complied and returned home before contacting police. Robbery unit notified.
