#2024-279573/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0131 hours, the suspects walked in the 7-11 located at the 4300 BLK of SW Admiral Wy. The suspects were driving a possibly dark sedan. The suspects entered the store, and one jumped over the counter. The second suspect walked around the counter. The suspects punched the clerk in the back twice and jabbed the back of his neck. The clerk felt pain. The suspects took approximately $200.00 in cash and left in the vehicle. The manager responded to the scene and video footage was reviewed. Possibly the same car was seen at a 7-11 located at the 9000 BLK of Delridge Wy SW. The two suspects attempted to walk inside the 7-11 wearing masks, but the clerk locked the door (Case# 24-279550). The SPD Robbery Unit was notified about both incidents.
#2024-279657/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0150 hours, victim was camping in Cal Anderson Park when two suspects attempted to steal their tent and belongings. Victim fought to keep his belongings and was stabbed in the arm and face. Officers arrived and provided aid to victim, located knife and victim’s belongings. Suspects outstanding at time of SIR. Victim transported to HMC in stable condition. Media 4 updated.
#2024-279733/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0700 hours, the AR Team along with first watch task force and City UCT cleared out Powel Barnett Park of asylum seekers that had set up camp in the park. The park was cleared of campers and cleaned of all debris without incident.
#2024-280117/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1508, a business owner called 911 reporting that he had live video footage of his business being burglarized. Officers arrived quickly and established containment. The two suspects were detained as they tried to leave the business. Items were recovered from their backpacks and were returned to the business owner. One of the individuals is suspected of burglarizing this business multiple times. Both booked into KCJ for Investigation of Burglary.
#2024-280164/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1400 hours, officers patrolling a known problem area for stolen vehicles and other criminal activity observed a parked occupied that appeared suspicious. A check of the displayed license plate number later revealed that the plate was stolen. On returning to where the car was parked it now only had a sole occupant. Officers initiated a HVRS procedure and directed the occupant out of the vehicle. The suspect resisted cuffing and was subdued with less lethal device. SFD responded. Suspect booked into KCJ.
