#2024-288530/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0104 hours, officers responded to a collision with multiple fatalities in the 300 block of Pine St. During the investigation, an officer was assaulted by a subject intruding on the scene. The subject was taken into custody, assaulting another officer during the process. A type 2 UoF was completed. Neither officer sustained injuries. 223 was notified.
#2024-288703/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0751 hours, patrol and traffic Officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of N 45th St and Stone Way N. In coordination with SFD, officers located and administered first aid to the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers then located and arrested the suspect, who was armed with a handgun. Officers also processed the scene, interviewed witnesses, and canvassed the area for video evidence. The suspect was transported to GVRU for questioning and will be booked into KCJ for Assault 1. GVRU, PIO, and 222 have been notified.
#2024-288646/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0616 hours, Officers were dispatched to a DV Disturbance. While enroute to the call, Officers were informed that the suspect was on the victim’s balcony attempting to gain entry into the unit by breaking the glass door. The call was further updated with information stating that the suspect is known to carry a firearm. Officers moved towards the victim’s residence. Officers located the suspect on the balcony and began giving verbal commands. The suspect complied with Officers verbal commands and was placed into custody without incident. Upon search incident to arrest, Officers located a firearm in the suspect’s backpack which came back stolen out of Tacoma. Once the investigation was completed, the suspect was transported to KCJ for booking.
#2024-288596/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0535 hours, there was PC to arrest a suspect for Property Damage-DV and Harassment-DV. The suspect was in a heightened state of agitation and was hitting items with a crescent wrench including his face/teeth. A contact team made numerous attempts at de-escalation and HNT was contacted. Suddenly the suspect charged at the contact team and was tasered. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and successfully booked to KCJ.
#2024-289034/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1348 hours, Officers responded to a Robbery Call in the area of Madison St and Minor Av. Officers contacted the bank employee that advised that an unknown male suspect came inside the bank. The suspect approached the teller and demanded money from the teller. The employee refused to give the suspect money, so the suspect exited the bank on foot. Officers checked the area but had no success locating the suspect. No weapons were seen or implied. Robbery Unit was screened of the incident.
