#2024-291340/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0000 hours, 911 received a call about an armed robbery. The suspect vehicle had just been reported as the suspect vehicle in a shooting. The victim on foot stated the suspect vehicle past him and did a U-turn. Two suspects exited the vehicle with pistols (reported as Beretta M9s) and stole the victim’s phone and air-pods (without the case). The suspects then fled the area, in the suspect vehicle, when interrupted by a witness.
#2024-291341/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0030 hours, West Precinct Officers contacted a large group of approximately 25-30 individuals congregating in Hoa Mai Park (1224 S King St) after hours. Present at the park is signage indicating park hours (0400-2330), therefore anyone loitering in the park was trespassing. Since the park opened it has become a location where subjects sell and use illegal narcotics, among various other illegal activities. The individuals were detained, identified, and issued park trespass warnings. Among them six were arrested on warrants. New calls were generated to document the arrests 24-291382, 24-291384, 24-291388, 24-291389, & 24-291396. The suspect arrested under 24-291396 fled as Officers were making announcements to group in the park to remain where they were and that they were being detained. He was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit.
#2024-291430/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0344 hours, a West Precinct Patrol Officer on viewed a suspect making multiple individual assaults against passersby as he walked along the sidewalk. The Officer exited his vehicle and addressed the suspect, who then threatened to shoot the Officer after producing a lighter. The Officer gave orders to the suspect which were ignored, and instead the suspect began to advance on the Officer. The Officer deployed his taser and awaited backing units to affect the arrest. The suspect struck his head on the ground after being tased. FIT responded to investigate. The suspect was taken to HMC for further medical evaluation and will be booked into KCJ for Assault and Harassment once released.
#2024-292306/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2219 hours, 2219 hours, Officers responded to multiple calls of shots near Lake City WY NE. Upon arrival 3 FCCs were located in the street. A black sedan was reported to have fled, on Lake City WY NE, after firing the shots.
