#2024-312695/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0828 hours, the reporting party found ammunition inside the backpack at a school in the West Precinct area. Officers responded to the scene and investigated the incident. The reporting party returned the backpack to the officers and submitted it as evidence. The backpack’s owner was tentatively identified. As of this SIR, the school is conducting an internal review of its security cameras to identify the owner of the backpack. Unit 211, and Media were screened. Robbery was advised of the incident.

#2024-236446/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1200 hours, over the past several weeks, Detective Muoio has been investigating an armed street robbery where a firearm was displayed. Through his investigating he developed PC for a female suspect and learned she was staying in a storage unit in the North Pct. Robbery detectives, SWAT and North Patrol quickly responded to the scene and took the female into custody without incident.

#2024-312730/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0909 hours, 911 received a call via Spanish interpreter that the caller’s boyfriend was threatening her with scissors. When Officers arrived, they were able to get the victim out of the apartment; the suspect retreated into the apartment. Officers learned that the victim had been held against her will, in her bedroom by the armed suspect for over an hour. They further learned that the suspect attempted to stab her in the chest and was telling her she was going to kill her. She was eventually able to escape and call 911. Officers got her out of the apartment and the suspect barricaded himself. HNT was called to the scene and attempted to communicate with the suspect, but he would not respond. SWAT arrived on-scene and search warrant for the suspect was applied for and approved. The suspect was taken into custody by SWAT and Patrol.

#2024-313102/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1516 hours, Officers responded to a Robbery Call at 800 12 Av. The victim advised that she was meeting the suspect at this location to sell her cell phone. The victim said that the suspect met her at this location and took her phone, the victim attempted to stop the suspect by grabbing the suspect’s shirt from the back. While the victim was holding onto the suspect’s shirt. The suspect continued to walk away, which caused the victim to be dragged. The victim advised that the driver of the Dodge Durango got out of the vehicle and pointed a Black handgun at the victim. The victim let go of the suspect’s shirt and the suspect got into the passenger side of the Dodge/DUR. Officers checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle. The victim advised that there was no tracking on the phone. No injuries on the victim.

#2024-313381/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2134 hours, Officers responded to the 100 block of 1 AV S for a reported robbery with a time delay. A suspect entered a restaurant and implied a firearm while demanding money from the register. The suspect made off with $30-$50. The suspect was not located.
