#2024-323338/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 0415 hours, a Metro Access Van was transporting a single rider to an appointment in the early morning hours. When the van was traveling near 14 Ave S/ S Cloverdale St, the vehicle occupants observed a passenger compartment window shatter. Believing it might have been a rock, the vehicle continued to the original destination. The operator eventually discovered possible bullet damage and notified the supervisor who in turn called 911. Officers responded to the Access facility and contacted the RP. Bullet damage was verified, and evidence was collected. The shooting scene could not be located, and no suspect descriptions were available.
#2024-324141/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2144 hours, a man walked into a gas station in the Delridge area, and for the second day in a row made disparaging comments. Asked to leave by the manager, the suspect struck the manager instead. There was no injury. Police arrived and detained the suspect, as he tried to leave. Pursuant to investigation, he was arrested for RCW 9A.36.080 and booked into King County Jail. Acting Lt. was notified, as was the Violent Crimes Captain, Bias Crimes Coordinator, Public Affairs Unit, and a Homicide Unit.
#2024-324241/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2356 hours, officers responded to a call for service near the intersection of Pine St and Broadway. The victims stated that they had just been robbed of their property and the suspects had their hands in their waistband while conducting the robbery, implying a possible firearm. Police conducted an area check locating a group that matched the description nearby. Officers detained all suspects. Three of the suspects were positively identified and had the property of the victims on their person. All three suspects were placed in custody and transported to the East Precinct where the property was recovered. All three suspects were booked into YSC.
#2024-323527/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 0951 hours, suspect and victim encountered each other in the common area. Suspect made specific statements before intentionally shoulder-checking victim. Victim pushed suspect away to gain distance, at which time suspect threw hot coffee on victim. Victim stated he believed he had been assaulted by suspect because of his race. Suspect, a well-known subject to SPD with numerous previous assaults on law-enforcement, was contacted and arrested without incident. Suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail. Arrest screened by CRT2. Watch commander (212) was notified, as was the Violent Crimes Captain, Bias Crimes Coordinator, Public Affairs Unit, and Homicide Unit.
