Update: Detectives Seek Public Help for Information About Capitol Hill Homicide

Seattle Police Department detectives are seeking help from the community to obtain information about a shooting that occurred on October 19th in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. 

Detectives are specifically looking for video or images that were taken at the scene that Saturday morning.

Detectives Investigate a Homicide in Capitol Hill

Detectives are investigating a shooting that left one woman deceased early Saturday morning in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., 911 Dispatch received reports of a shooting in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue.

Police arrived and located a 25-year-old female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Officers attempted life-saving measures until Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown at this time.

Members of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit and Homicide detectives responded to the scene. 

The Homicide Unit will be working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting. No suspect is currently in custody.
