Seattle police officers arrested a man for criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and assaulting officers in the University District yesterday afternoon.
On November 19th at 10:48 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports a man sleeping inside a vacant apartment surrounded by drug paraphernalia in the 4200 block of 9th Avenue Northeast.
Police searched the residence and located the suspect inside of one of the bedrooms. When police contacted him, he fought with officers. During the altercation, he disobeyed commands, resisted their attempts to take him into custody, and assaulted them.
The officers effectively deployed a taser to take him into custody.
The man was arrested for Criminal Trespass, Resisting Arrest, and Assault. He also had two arrest warrants for Reckless Burning and Criminal Trespass. The 38-year-old was booked into King County Jail.
Detectives in the Homicide & Assault Unit were assigned to this case.
