#2024-329714/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1251 hours, officers responded to a call for service at an apartment complex near 22 Ave and E Union St for a 911 hangup call. Upon the officer’s arrival they found that a violation of a DV protection order was occurring inside an apartment with the suspect and victim still inside. The primary officer started a warrant for the residence while officers began dialogue inside the apartment. During the dialogue, the victim began screaming inside and exigent entry began being made. The victim ran out of the apartment with the suspect closing the door behind her. CRT3 arrived on scene and did an outstanding job speaking with the suspect and gaining compliance for him to exit the apartment. The suspect was placed under arrest for violation of the order and unlawful imprisonment. Many thanks to CRT for assisting patrol!
#2024-329805/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1406 hours, just after 1400hrs, a female suspect walked into a local bank and used a note to demand money from the till. A gun was implied but no weapon was seen. The suspect quickly took the money and left the bank on foot, at least initially. Latent prints unit responded. Robbery notified. Photos sent out via department e-mail.
#2024-330216/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2205 hours, A vehicle was driving fast at the 1300 BLK of Alki Ave SW. The driver struck a sign and drove over a ledge that was approximately an eight-foot drop. The vehicle was partially on the rocks, and partially on the ledge. Officers along with SFD arrived to check for injuries and they cleared the vehicle. Officers spoke to several witnesses and community members. It is unknown who was driving the vehicle. At this time there are no significant injuries. MEDIA was notified about the incident.
#2024-330089/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1903 hours, Officers contacted a victim of property damage that appeared to have been racially motivated. The victim stated on 11/17, the suspect had damaged the victim’s car, while making bias statements. The victim pointed the suspect out to Officers. Officers arrested the suspect and later booked him into KCJ for property damage and Malicious harassment.
#2024-330217/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2202 hours, Officers were dispatched to an unresponsive woman in a vehicle in the 1900 block of Rainier Ave S. Officers investigated and found the plates on the vehicle were stolen. A plan was constructed and implemented prior to hailing the female driver. Terminators were placed under the vehicle’s tires; Officer took cover behind patrol vehicles and hailed the suspect via PA. The suspect was place into custody without incident. Search incident to arrest for DUI, PSP (plates) PSP stolen vehicle, the suspect had in her possession almost 200 grams of suspected methamphetamine, with a street value of over $1700. Further investigation yielded over $15,000 in stolen property, purses, and about a dozen computers, iPads and other tablets. Many of the stolen items were in NCIC/WACIC stolen from Auburn. This was a great team effort by South Precinct Officers to take this dangerous, intoxicated suspect off the streets and to reunite some victims with their stolen property.
