#2024-336921/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 1053 hours, a male was walking northbound in the 13100 block of Stone Avenue North when he was assaulted by a male walking Southbound. The victim said he had seen the suspect around the area, but the victim did not know the suspect. The assault appeared unprovoked. The suspect attempted to gouge out the victim’s left eye with his thumb, struck the victim several times with a closed fist, choked the victim, caused the victim to bleed from his ear, etc. The victim was transported to HMC for treatment, and it was said testing would be needed to determine if the damage to the victim’s eye had permanently damaged his vision. The suspect was not located at this time.
#2024-337044/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1342 hours, a shooting occurred at a location in South Seattle off of S Othello St. One male was shot in the leg a single time. He was sent to the hospital via Medic One, the reported suspect shooter remained on scene and was arrested. Both parties appeared to agree that the incident was accidental. The shooter was not forthcoming about the location of the firearm. A search warrant was signed for the business and nearby vehicle related to the suspect. No gun was located following the search, only one spent shell casing. Suspect booked into KCJ.
