#2024-343995/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0211 hours, officers responded to an attempted auto theft in the 300 block of Mercer St. The victim stated he returned to his vehicle after work to find the suspect rummaging around inside. In an apparent attempt to retain possession of the vehicle, the suspect raised a hammer toward the victim before pulling a black handgun, which later turned out to be an airsoft pistol. The victim, with the assistance of two co-workers were able to detain the suspect until officers arrived. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked into King County Jail for Robbery.
#2024-344044/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0350 hours, officers responded to a Hookah Lounge at 800 BLK S Lane St to reports of shots fired. Officers arrived and located no active shooting or victims at the scene. As officers were processing the scene, three adult males and one adult female arrived at HMC in private vehicles suffering from GSWs. One of these victims required emergency surgery. A fifth adult male victim called 911 from the 2700 block of 4th Ave S reporting another GSW from the incident. This injury was treated at the scene by SFD. Officers investigating the scene at the hookah lounge located almost 30 FCCs in the road and on the sidewalk near the hookah lounge as well as a single FCC inside the business itself. GVRU responded to the scene and HMC to assist with interviews and scene processing. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
