#2024-349513/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0105 hours,911 received reports of a robbery in the 6000 block of 39th Avenue South. Two victims were robbed at a with threats of a knife and violent force for their personal property at a south precinct park, by four juvenile suspects. One of the victims fled the area on foot in fear. When the victim was contacted the whereabouts of the female was unknown. The suspects fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction. During the investigation the suspect vehicle drove by investigating officers. The vehicle was stopped, and all persons were detained without incident. The female victim was also in the vehicle. All suspects were positively identified and placed under arrest. The vehicle was impounded. During the investigation the female victim stated she was scared since she was just robbed by people, she knew but made the decision to leave with them in the vehicle. Robbery was notified and screened this incident.  All suspects were transported and booked into YSC for Investigation of Robbery.

#2024-349572/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0437 hours, three suspects entered the store on 300 block of North 125th Street wearing hoodies, face masks. The three suspects had two handguns. The suspects assaulted the clerk and jumped over the counter and took the money from the cash register.

At 0518 hours, in the 9000 block Delridge Way Southwest four suspects walked into the store and stole cash and an unknown amount of tobacco products. All four individuals were dressed in dark clothing, one with a knife which scratched the store clerk on both arms (The clerk declined medical attention). A firearm was implied but not visible to the clerk. The suspects left on foot in an unknown direction. Incident screened with Robbery Unit.    

#2024-323496/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2000 hours, officers conducted a DAT focused operation in the area of 12th and Jackson. The operation yielded three arrests. One arrest was for eluding and misdemeanor warrants after officers contacted a suspicious vehicle and the driver fled but was quickly located after abandoning their vehicle a few blocks away. The two other arrests were made after officers located a vehicle with stolen plates. The vehicle was followed into the East Precinct where officers contacted it. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested for PSV, firearms violations and VUCSA PWI. A firearm, narcotics and cash were recovered. All three suspects were booked into KCJ.

#2024-350307/West Precinct/Second Watch:

In collaboration with several King County agencies, 7 SPD officers and 2 sergeants participated in a High Visibility Emphasis (HVE) DUI patrol. A news crew covered and rode along with SPD’s contingent. Despite heavy rain, officers contacted 40 drivers, made 7 DUI arrests and 5 other arrests, and issued 16 citations. In cooperation with patrol, the emphasis units also recovered an occupied stolen vehicle, arrested a driver for vehicular assault and felony hit and run, completed a full DRE evaluation, and identified that a driver was suffering a diabetic emergency, along with responding to numerous other patrol calls. There were no fatal collisions during the operational period. Traffic Safety Commission funded the emphasis. The next HVE DUI patrol will be on New Year’s Eve.
