#2024-349341/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2037 hours, SW Patrol responded to a report of an armed robbery at the 9200 block of 35th Avenue Southwest. Witnesses and victim reported 3 unknown race males, dressed in dark puffy coats, masks and gloves had just fled the scene on foot. One of the suspects implied he had a gun though none was seen. The suspects damaged store property before running from the store. No attempts were made to gain access to the cash drawer and no product was known to be taken at this time. Containment was established and K9 responded to assist with a track. It’s likely the suspects had a vehicle parked a block away and the track was discontinued. SPD Robbery was notified of the incident.
#2024-349067/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1513 hours, Police responded to a report of a disturbance involving a knife in the 1400 block of 24th Avenue. Officers arrived and contacted multiple victims who reported disturbances involving a male suspect. One victim reported when he attempted to stop the suspect from following through with his threats of breaking down a neighbor’s door, the suspect threatened him with a knife. He was able to retreat to his apartment and was unharmed. After the threats to the neighbors, the suspect eventually returned to his apartment where he barricaded himself. Police made several attempts to gain voluntary compliance and establish communication, but he did not respond. HNT and SWAT responded, soon after a warrant was obtained, and executed. The male suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked into KCJ via AMR.
