2025-12474/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1211 hours, Patrol and CRT officers responded to a 911 call of a disturbance in an alley. They contacted a 42-year-old male with an arrest warrant for Reckless Burning. The suspect spat on two officers. Officers placed a spit sock on the suspect, constituting a Type 1 use of force. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for two counts of Assault in the Third Degree. The officers did not require medical treatment. SPD Lieutenant screened the incident.
#2025-12959/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1910 hours, The suspect was attempting to make a Western Union transaction at the customer service desk inside of the Safeway. When the customer service employee was unable to assist him with his transaction the suspect became agitated and punched the employee in the chest. The suspect then produced a 9mm pistol and fired one round through the ceiling of the store. The suspect then ran away from the store without further confrontation. KCSO K9-17 responded and attempted to conduct a track of the suspect, but the unit was unable to establish a track based on the starting point. Officers conducted an area search, but the suspect was not located. Officers collected a phone that the suspect used while in the store and submitted it for fingerprints. At this time the suspect has not been identified. There were no injuries caused to any party during this incident.
#2025-3009/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1900 hours, Watch West Precinct Officers with West Bike Officers conducted a narcotics operation in Belltown and in the 12 & Jackson areas. The operation yielded four narcotics arrests with a total of 13 grams and 500 dollars recovered. A vehicle was taken to the processing room pending a search warrant. SPD Narcotics detectives were consulted on several of the arrests. Officers also spotted a vehicle/suspect that eluded them on the 10th in the Goodwill parking lot. A plan was developed using a plain car and terminators. After a successful terminator deployment, the suspect vehicle was located 10 blocks away, the suspect was taken into custody and booked into jail for two counts of eluding and possession of a stolen vehicle.
