2025-21314/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1326 hours, a local High School called reporting there was an unknown male inside the school talking about being with the military court of appeals and refusing to leave. The call was updated that the subject signed in, did not have any weapons, and security was with him. Officers arrived a short time later and the suspect was placed into custody without incident.
2025-21257/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1200 hours, West Precinct conducted a directed patrol operation to support DAT efforts around 12 Ave S / S Jackson St. Uniformed patrol officers provided high visibility support for a multitude of city agencies while they conducted critical work addressing a large scope of issues in Little Saigon. These efforts were further supported with proactive patrols from SPD and KCSO bike units. The SPD Traffic Unit provided traffic control for the safety of SDOT and Parks personnel. PEO’s and CSO’s also assisted. During the operational period, SPD officers made 5 arrests for a variety of offenses. A/Chief Nelson and Captain Ward were on scene during the operation.
2025-21770/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2255 hours, officers responded to N 94 St just west of Aurora Ave N to reports of shots fired. Officers arrived and found a victim’s vehicle that was struck with multiple gunshots and crashed into nearby parked vehicles. No one was injured during the shooting and there are no known suspects at this time. GVRU responded to the scene to assist in processing and interviews. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
