Seattle police officers, detectives, and the SWAT team arrested the Ballard homicide suspect yesterday afternoon.
The 20-year-old man was booked into King County Jail for investigation of Robbery and Murder.
Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit recovered a firearm and additional evidence during the investigation and arrest.
Seattle police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead early Sunday morning in Baker Park.
At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 26, a dispatcher received a report of a man lying unresponsive on a walkway in the 8300 block of 14th Avenue Northwest.
Officers arrived at the park and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Seattle Fire Department personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Detectives from the Homicide Unit, along with the Crime Scene Investigation Unit, responded to the scene.
Homicide Unit detectives will be working to determine the circumstances what led to the shooting
No suspects are currently in custody.
