Seattle police robbery detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for stealing a $27,000 bracelet from Tiffany & Co. three weeks ago.
On Jan. 2, at about 4:40 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a robbery in the 600 block of Pine Street at Tiffany’s Downtown Seattle jewelry store.
According to the report, he entered into the store posing as a customer and was noticeably shaking. He asked to try on a bracelet and then abruptly ran out of the store making no attempt to pay for the expensive item.
Store security struggled to hold onto the suspect, and he ran away with the stolen bracelet. Shortly thereafter, he ran into a Pacific Place security officer and another physical struggle ensued.
The suspect broke free of the security guard’s grasp, but not before the guard managed to remove the bracelet from his wrist. The gold and diamond bracelet was recovered and returned to Tiffany’s.
The suspect was described as a white male, 20’s, about 160 lbs., 5’9” tall, with short dark hair, and a thin build. He was wearing white Apple Air pods, a dark blue puffer jacket with a white North Face logo, gray t-shirt, black pants, and black and white New Balance sneakers.
Police collected evidence from the scene, yet the suspect remains at large and has yet to be identified.
The same man is also being investigated by the Bellevue Police Department for stealing a different Tiffany pavé bangle (bracelet) on December 26, 2024, that has a value of $16,000.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is asked to call 911 or contact the Seattle Police Department’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000. You can remain anonymous.
