Thursday morning, a 32-year-old man was arrested for firing a gun and damaging property in Seattle’s Stevens neighborhood on Jan. 6.
At 4:30 a.m., a dispatcher received reports of shots fired in the 1100 block of 18th Avenue East. Officers responded to the scene but initially could not locate the suspect. As the investigation seemed to go cold, officers discovered footprints in the snow (yes, really). Despite white-out conditions, they trekked on.
While searching the area, officers found multiple bullet holes in a vehicle. The suspect was apprehended a couple of blocks away without incident. Officers also recovered a gun from the scene.
A witness provided video evidence confirming the shooting, including a visible muzzle flash and the suspect’s voice, which was distinguishable as he was heard yelling.
Officers recovered a gun from the scene.
The man was booked into King County Jail for investigation of aiming or discharging firearms, and reckless endangerment.
