2025-37210/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1543 hours, 911 received reports of a physical fight at a homeless shelter. The suspect had taken the victim’s phone from his hands and began to walk away. The victim followed the suspect in order to get his phone back. The suspect then told the victim he had a gun and would kill him. Officers arrived on-scene within minutes of the call, located the suspect and safely took him into custody. No gun was located on the suspect, but a folding knife was located. The suspect was booked into KCJ without incident.
2025-37289/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1724 hours, officers responded to a call for service at the intersection of S Judkins St and 24 Ave S for a possible carjacking. Officers arrived on scene and found that three suspects approached the victim’s vehicle and attempted to gain entry by force. The victim was able to drive off and call 911. Officers conducted a thorough area check and located two out of the three suspects. One, was found near MLK Jr Wy S and Charles St and was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The other was located hiding in a backyard of a nearby residence. Rounds were found on suspect’s, pocket. Officers searched the residential area locating a pistol with an extended magazine. Both suspects were booked into YSC.
2025-37523/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2342 hours, an officer was driving on 35 Ave SW and received an ALPR hit for a stolen vehicle. The officer asked for additional units, and the vehicle was occupied four times. The vehicle stopped at a gas pump located at 9200 35 Ave SW. One of the suspects, who was a passenger, was noncompliant and attempted to walk away. The suspect continued being non-compliant and placed his hands in his pockets. Officers took the suspect to the ground. Officers established PC to arrest the male suspect for violating a DV order. The suspect claimed he had knee pain from being taken to the ground, and he was declined at the jail. The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of the stolen vehicle.
