10 Arrested, Hundreds of Grams of Drugs, Gun and Cash Seized During Narcotics Operation in Belltown, Little Saigon

Seattle police arrested 10 people and recovered a large amount of drugs, a gun and cash during a narcotics operation targeting hotspots in Belltown and Little Saigon on March 10.

Officers from the West Precinct and detectives with the Narcotics Unit made several arrests near Third Avenue and Bell Street, recovering fentanyl, crack cocaine and cash. During the operation, and while a suspect was being arrested, another suspect approached a Seattle police officer and asked if the officer wanted to trade crack for a cigarette. They were also arrested.

Seattle police had an enhanced presence along 12th Avenue South as well, which led to several arrests near 12th Avenue South and South Weller Street. At about 7 p.m., investigators spotted a man and woman exchange a white, powdery rock substance with buyers for cash. Both were arrested. Fentanyl and meth were recovered as well as cash.

In total, the operation ended with 10 arrests, including three felony warrants, and more than 259 grams of narcotics seized. Officers also recovered more than $1,900 and a gun with its serial number removed.
