Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Attempted Robbery Suspect

Detectives are investigating an attempted bank robbery that occurred in Downtown Seattle shortly before 11:30 a.m. on March 13. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect pictured below.

Officers responded to a call about an attempted bank robbery in the 400 block of Pike Street but were unable to locate the suspect.

Witnesses reported that the suspect handed a teller a note stating he was robbing the bank and demanded cash. The teller was able to enter a secure area and close the door, while the suspect attempted to prevent the door from closing but was unsuccessful. Shortly after, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect had been seen in the bank earlier that day requesting to open an account.
