#2025-70399/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0132 hours, Radio broadcast a Shots call in the area of Kerry Park. Radio updated there were multiple callers and upon arrival 13 shell casings were located. There were no witnesses to the actual incident, just people describing two cars speeding away. GVRU was advised, patrol processed the scene.
#2025-70415/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0202 hours, officers responded to the 5800 Blk of 4 Av S for a disturbance at a night club. After an altercation with security a suspect entered his vehicle and began performing burnouts. The suspect then fired a round from the vehicle. The round did not strike anywhere near the victims outside of the nightclub. The suspect then fled towards a residence in the 200 Blk of S Orcas St. Officers located the suspect vehicle in front of the house and then heard several gunshots in the alley behind the house. Several minutes later the suspect walked out of his house and was taken into custody without incident. The firearm was recovered.
#2025-70550/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 0803 hours, Officers responded to a burglary at the SFD Joint Training Facility. SFD personnel arrived to find a SFD vehicle at the entrance and the vehicle entry gate heavily damaged. It appeared that some time over night a portion of the fencing had been cut and entry made. Inside, a SFD vehicle was broken into and used to ram the door of of the engine bay where entry was gained. A SFD ax was found on the ground near the bay. Three separate trailers on the property was also broken into, seemingly by use of the ax. The SFD vehicle was then used to ram through the entry gate for the suspect(s) to exit from the property. There are some cameras present on the property and a link was provided to upload any footage. At time of this report, it was unknown what property, if any, was taken.
#2025-70549/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0822 hours, RP called 911 ITRU to report his involvement in an earlier hit and run, 15 March, 1314 hours, 25-070386. TCIS had been notified, and it was noted on event, PC for felony hit and run. The victim was transported to HMC, unknown full extent of injuries. Officers contacted the RP at his residence and placed him under arrest for hit and run. Vehicle information and photos obtained. Subject provided a statement and TCIS contacted. Subject I&R’d and TCIS to follow up.
#2025-70990/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1758 hours, East patrol responded to a call from the KCSO for an in-custody death at Harborview. It was discovered that a man who had been in-custody at the jail fell ill and was transported to the hospital two days ago. While at the hospital he was placed into the ICU for a respiratory illness. The man died of the illness and SPD was notified. This was not a previous SPD arrest. The doctors at the hospital confirmed his cause of death and a report was written after screening the call with homicide and FIT. The medical examiner’s office will take custody of the deceased. 243 was notified.
