#2025-73539/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 0445 hours, officers conducted a traffic stop at 4 Ave / Marion St. Officers developed probable cause for DUI and placed the suspect into custody. During the investigation, officers recovered a loaded semi-automatic handgun and 2 grams of crack cocaine. A records check revealed the suspect to be a convicted felon with active DOC status. The suspect was booked into KCJ for UPFA, and an outstanding warrant. Charges were requested for the DUI.
#2025-73878/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1244 hours, the suspect entered a bank and slide a note to the teller demanding money and implied a weapon. While standing waiting for the money, the suspect had his right hand under a vest as if he was holding a weapon there. The teller gave the suspect all the money she had, and he took the note back and left with a minimal amount of money. In the money was a tracker but the updates were slow, and the suspect likely got away on the light rail.
#2025-74023/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1516 hours, officers responded to a call for service for a disturbance with a gun call near the intersection of 26 Av S and MLK Jr Wy S. R/P was reporting that a suspect in the alleyway was armed with a gun. Officers arrived quickly to the scene, formulated a contact team and contacted the suspect. The suspect was detained without incident and officers located an airsoft replica AR-15. Victims of a nearby business reported that the suspect had become angry from the noise coming from the business and pointed the airsoft AR-15 towards the business causing fear for their lives. Suspect was booked into KCJ without incident.
