#2025-80370/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0817 hours, East Patrol responded to the report of an assault with a glass bottle in the area of Boren Av / James St. Officers found PC for felony assault. When Officers contacted the suspect, the suspect tried to punch an officer. The punch was blocked, and the suspect was taken into custody. Type 1 force occurred. The suspect was declined from KCJ and taken to HMC where he also kicked a transporting officer. No officers were injured in either incident. I screened the arrest/force on scene. The suspect was booked for Assault 2 and two counts of Assault 3. 241 was notified. A Hazard report was completed.

#2025-80611/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1149 hours, Just before the noon hour, Fire Marshal 5 called regarding an arson fire that was now out. The fire originated in a bathroom inside a large department store. The suspect was still on scene and being watched by SFD. Officers arrived and placed the suspect into custody without incident. There was some fire and significant smoke damage to the restroom. The store returned to regular business after a short evacuation. Incident screened with 222 and ABS.

#2025-80707/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1316 hours, Officers were dispatched to an assault call in John sector. Officers developed probable cause for Felony level DV assault. When officers attempted to place the suspect under arrest, he resisted. A taser was deployed, at which point officers were able to get the suspect in custody. Suspect was medically declined from King County Jail. He will be booked for the assault when he is medically cleared from HMC.

#2025-81019/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1900 hours, GIU and SW patrol conducted a retail theft operation at the Target Westwood Village. There were 3 arrests with 2 booked for theft and 1 for burglary. SW patrol were instrumental in the success of the operation.

#2025-80516/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 1019 hours, a concrete crew was working on a sidewalk. A resident, whose vehicle was parked nearby, walked up and began using bias language, stating “Do you have papers?” and “Fucking Immigrants”. The suspect then retrieved a long metal object from his trunk and struck one of the workers in the back, causing a visible injury. The suspect had left the scene before 911 was called. The 911 call stated there were no weapons involved, no bias remarks and no assaults. Based on the new information gathered during the investigation, officers conducted an extensive area check but the suspect was not located. Officers also looked for any security footage in the area, but none was located. The victim stated, multiple times, that he did not believe the suspect assaulted him based on his nationality.

#2025-81152/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2141 hours, a driver reported that he was stopped in the southbound lane of Delridge Wy Sw and Sw Thistle St for a red light, when a dark sedan drove past him through the traffic light, followed by another dark sedan that passed him on his right, but not before stopping to fire two rounds from a handgun into his passenger side door and side view mirror, and then driving off westbound on Sw Thistle St. There were no injuries, and no shell casings were recovered. The victim said he didn’t get a look at the license plate of either vehicle. A call was made to GVRU for screening.
